Facilities Access Technician
Hours:32-37 hours a week, Tuesday - Friday 11-7PM; Saturday 12-6PM
Salary: $19.50/ hour starting
Summary: The Facilities Access Technician is responsible for the location and maintenance of the community access TV station’s video equipment including check-in/out of field and studio equipment, and routine maintenance and repair of all video systems. Assists with studio teching, equipment troubleshooting and updating the equipment database. Helps design, order and install new video systems as needed. This person also teaches members in basic video production.
Duties/Responsibilities: Check equipment in and out to BCM members on a daily basis Report all problems including lost or broken items to the Executive Director Perform routine maintenance on all video systems, including repair of equipment Keep track of all equipment use and status using the MCM equipment database Assist with set-up and strike of studio equipment Assist as needed with special projects Maintain record on equipment usage and repair Assist with supervision and training of BCM interns Nurture a healthy team enviroment
Minimum Requirements: Strong knowledge of video systems including studio experience Excellent computer skills including experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, Final Cut X and video conversion software Excellent organizational skills and ability to work on multiple tasks in a busy environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills, detail oriented and flexible Strong interest in basic knowledge of non-profit media arts or community television Able to implement creative vision through excellent people skills and enthusiasm
Prefered Requirements Experience with 3D modeling software including Blender, Cinema 4d or Maya Experience with audio production software including Ableton and Audition Experience with grant writing
