Hey everyone! I'm completing an application for a government contract & will need to hire for the lead positions to start. This is for an interpretive film for the George Washington Birthplace National Monument. You do NOT need to be based in the East Coast. Project will be funded from July 2025-June 2026. Scriptwriter: Develops the shooting script creating the conceptual outline and narrative of the film and the more comprehensive post-shoot script.
Three final complete film script samples by the scriptwriter demonstrating ability to create engaging, interpretive scripts for projects similar to what is required by this scope of work.
Experiences with: Script language shall be accessible by a general audience. Scripts shall be interpretive in approach (focused on connecting the audience to the subject, telling a story they can relate to or be awed by, as opposed to a focus on being educational or informative). Scripts shall demonstrate an understanding of storytelling and an engaging narrative arc. At least two scripts should include a narrative that weaves together multiple voices. At least one script shall be for a 15-30 minute program. All scripts shall be for a program no less than 10 minutes and no more than 30 minutes. At least one script shall focus on Cultural History in subject (focusing on human beings and structures rather than natural & scenic settings). All other scripts, if not focused on Cultural History subject matter, shall clearly demonstrate the Scriptwriter’s ability to create scripts similar to this project, and shall include a summary of the relevance to this project.
